Colissimo parcel tracking
Colissimo is the Parcel Delivery service of the French Post Office, La Poste. The delivery service includes both national and international deliveries within France. It is less expensive compared to Chronopost (another delivery service).
La Poste is one of the few government-provided services in France that gets a good rating from the public, thanks to its high quality of service. La Poste has enough post office counters in all of France including in most of the villages. In fact, France has one of the most number of post office boxes in the world.
The company was established on January 1, 1991. Since its establishment, it has diversified its activities to remain competitive. In 2000, it offered webmail services and created GePost, its logistics and parcel delivery wing. In 2001, it established an online banking service which was later named La Banque Postale in 2006.
The postal service has since taken steps to modernize its services and sorting facilities to better serve the public. Offices are now offering a range of services such as stamps, envelopes, packaging and card-making, mail-forwarding (both to France and internationally), collectible items (stamps, stamp books, service stamps, etc.), custom stamps, and online services such as scheduling for a postman to pick up parcels for deliveries within or outside of France.
