Real is a hypermarket chain that was established in 1992 in Germany. The company was born from the merger of Divi, Basar, Continent, Esbella et Real-Kaufchannels. The hypermarket chain was owned by Metro AG until 2018, when it was sold to the German-Russian association of X+Bricks AG and SCP Group. The sale was approved by the European Union Competition Commission in March 2020, and in June of the same year, the transaction was closed and ownership of Real was eventually transferred to SCP Group.

Real offers food products, household items, electrical appliances, books, media, textiles and shoes, sporting goods and stationery. Since then, the company has been selling products under its brands – TiP, real Quality, real BIO, and Wunderbärchen – the company's brand for baby and young children's products.

The company also contributes to the sustainability effort by reducing packaging waste, offering organic fruits and vegetables, sourcing mostly fruit and vegetables from farmers in Germany, using eco-friendly tote bags and even using energy-saving technologies in all its stores.

Parcel delivery Real ?

To track your deliveries Real, you go to the 'My Orders' tab of your account. Click on the order and select Track Shipment. You can also get the tracking information and check your delivery via Ordertracker by entering your tracking number in the corresponding field. If you don't have the tracking number, contact your seller.

Your tracking number may vary depending on the commercial carrier handling the delivery of your goods. Here are some examples of tracking numbers:

  • DHL eCommerce tracking numbers typically start with GM, LX, RX, or up to five letters
  • the tracking number ofHermes is usually composed of 16 digits (that of Germany is usually 14)

Certain factors may affect the delivery of your goods - weather conditions and other acts of nature, traffic situation, accidents and the time it took the seller to prepare your goods for delivery.

Additional details

Items purchased through Real will be delivered by DHL, DPD, UPS, GLS or Hermes. Items considered bulky and very heavy are delivered by a transport service. You won't be able to choose the shipping company, but you'll see the estimated delivery date in the product description, including shipping costs.

Shipping costs may vary depending on the item you have purchased, the total value of the goods and the place of delivery of the goods. Shipping costs can be either a lump sum, i.e. for the entire order, or individual shipping costs. For items sold by market sellers, shipping costs are at the seller's discretion. Before placing the order, you can review the detailed shipping costs.

Everything sold by Real can only be delivered to Germany. However, some vendors in the marketplace may deliver packages abroad. You can check the store information or try to place the item in the shopping cart as the system will automatically check if international shipping is offered for a specific item.

If your items are delivered by a carrier, you will receive a call to schedule the delivery. The company also doesn't offer express delivery options.

For customers who wish to deliver their goods in Switzerland or Liechtenstein, they can place an order via the official website. This service is convenient for customers who are in Switzerland or Liechtenstein but want to buy goods in Germany. Items purchased under this arrangement will be delivered fully cleared and taxed.

All items ordered have a return period of 14 days. If you decide to return your goods, you will have to bear the shipping costs for items with a purchase value of less than €40.01. Return labels can be downloaded via the 'Order History' tab of your account.
